Molecular recognition in olfaction

open access: yesAdvances in Physics: X, 2017
The mechanism by which the chemical identity of odourants is established by olfactory receptors is a matter of intense debate. Here we present an overview of recent ideas and data with a view to summarising what is known, and what has yet to be ...

Interaction between Heavy Water and Single-Strand DNA: A SERS Study

open access: yesMolecules, 2022
The structure and function of biological macromolecules change due to intermolecular deuterium bond formation or deuterium substitution with environmental D2O. In this study, surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS) was used to detect interaction sites

The Theoretical Study of the Deuterium Enrichment of H-D gas mixture in Continuous-Type Thermal-Diffusion Columns

open access: yes, 2016
The separation equations for enrichment of deuterium in H-D (Hydrogen-Deuterium) gas mixture by continuous-type thermal diffusion columns were developed theoretically. The transport equation modeling treats the enriching and stripping sections separately

Stable Protein‐Based G‐Quadruplex‐Derived Supramolecular Bioinks as Tunable ECM‐Mimetic Constructs Assembled by Combining Non‐Covalent and Covalent Strategies

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Harnessing the synergistic interplay of supramolecular self‐assembly, under macromolecular crowding conditions, and enzymatic‐mediated covalent crosslinking toward a stable protein‐based G‐quadruplex‐derived supramolecular bioink. This bioinspired strategy enables the biofabrication of complex and tunable ECM‐mimetic constructs, providing a platform ...
