Annual survival and resource selection of juvenile male wild turkeys in central Tennessee

Juvenile male wild turkeys in central Tennessee, USA, selected areas with smaller patch sizes and lower proportions of developed land. Annual survival was 0.73 and decreased as dense land cover such as young and deciduous forest increased and cover types with high visibility decreased. Ringtail (Bassariscus astutus) survival in southwestern Oregon

We captured and monitored radio‐collared ringtails over 2 years to estimate monthly and annual survival rates. We found that annual survival rates were much higher within forested landscapes in Oregon than for populations in the southwestern United States.
