Developmental enamel defects in children born preterm: a systematic review
European Journal of Oral Sciences, 2013The purpose of this review was to evaluate the association between developmental enamel defects and children born preterm. An identical search was performed in PubMed and Embase and was limited to human studies and studies written in English, German, Danish, Swedish, or Norwegian. Reviews, case studies, and case series were excluded.

Indian Journal of Health Sciences and Care, 2019Molar incisor hypomineralisation (MIH) is a developmentally-derived dental defect that involves hypomineralisation of one or all four first permanent molars and is frequently associated with similarly affected permanent incisors. Clinically, the defect appears as opacities, coalesced pit, grooves and also seen with lost enamel.
