In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

Complete developmental cycle of Leishmania mexicana in axenic culture [PDF]
A complete developmental sequence of Leishmania mexicana has been produced in axenic culture for the first time. This was achieved by manipulation of media, pH and temperature conditions over a period of 16 days.

Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.

Comparative SILAC proteomic analysis of Trypanosoma brucei bloodstream and procyclic lifecycle stages [PDF]
The protozoan parasite Trypanosoma brucei has a complex digenetic lifecycle between a mammalian host and an insect vector, and adaption of its proteome between lifecycle stages is essential to its survival and virulence. We have optimized a procedure for

Diversity and complexity in neural organoids
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.

Root gravitropism enables plants to optimize water and nutrient uptake, with actin filaments playing a key regulatory role. However, the effects of F-actin depolymerization on gravitropism have been inconsistent. Here, we show that actin depolymerization
