Structural biology of ferritin nanocages
Ferritin is a conserved iron‐storage protein that sequesters iron as a ferric mineral core within a nanocage, protecting cells from oxidative damage and maintaining iron homeostasis. This review discusses ferritin biology, structure, and function, and highlights recent cryo‐EM studies revealing mechanisms of ferritinophagy, cellular iron uptake, and ...

We identified a systemic, progressive loss of protein S‐glutathionylation—detected by nonreducing western blotting—alongside dysregulation of glutathione‐cycle enzymes in both neuronal and peripheral tissues of Taiwanese SMA mice. These alterations were partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotide therapy, revealing persistent redox imbalance as ...

Research on the effect of managerial pro-social rule breaking on miner safety deviance behavior
In order to explore the influence mechanism of managerial pro-social rule breaking on miner safety deviance behavior, based on existing research, this study introduces the sense of self-control resource depletion threat, system awe, expected coworkers ...

In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

Calpain small subunit homodimerization is robust and calcium‐independent
Calpains dimerize via penta‐EF‐hand (PEF) domains. Using single‐molecule force spectroscopy, we measured the strength and kinetics of PEF–PEF homodimer binding. The interaction is robust, shows a transient conformational step before dissociation, and remains largely insensitive to Ca2+.

Cum să abordăm diferenţele de vârstă şi gen în practica probaţiunii?
This paper aims to explore the manner in which age and gender influence criminal behavior, criminal career and rehabilitation. We chose these two variables because in the literature they are often considered.

Student Perception of Parental Responses to Their Adolescent Behaviors: the Characteristics of Those Who are Labeled Negatively and the Impact of the Labels [PDF]
The following research uses labeling theory to determine what type of individual is most likely to be labeled negatively by their parents during adolescence. Labeling theory hypothesizes that if an individual is negatively labeled they are more likely to

Examining residuals such as Pearson and deviance residuals, is a standard tool for assessing normal regression. However, for discrete response, these residuals cluster on lines corresponding to distinct response values.
