Deviance statistics in model fit and selection in ROC studies

open access: closedSPIE Proceedings, 2013
A general non-linear regression model-based Bayesian inference approach is used in our ROC (Receiver Operating Characteristics) study. In the sampling of posterior distribution, two prior models - continuous Gaussian and discrete categorical - are used for the scale parameter.

Improved deviance goodness of fit statistics for a gamma regression model

open access: closedCommunications in Statistics - Theory and Methods, 1986
A gamma regression model with an exponential link function for the means Is considered. Moment properties of the deviance statistics based on maximum likelihood and weighted least squares fits are used to define modified deviance statistics which provide alternative global goodness of fit tests.
