Synchronization of Some DFA [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
Aword w is called synchronizing (recurrent, reset, directable) word of deterministic finite automaton (DFA) if w brings all states of the automaton to an unique state. Cerny conjectured in 1964 that every n- state synchronizable automaton possesses a synchronizing word of length at most (n - 1)2. The problem is still open. It will be proved that the

A Novel Area Efficient and High‐Speed BCD Adder Using CFA and Multiplexer in Quantum‐Dot Cellular Automata

open access: yesIEEJ Transactions on Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Volume 21, Issue 2, Page 226-234, February 2026.
This paper proposes a new enhanced Single Digit BCD Adder (SDBA) to perform decimal addition optimally. Quantum‐dot Cellular Automata (QCA) will construct nanostructured arithmetic circuits for future computing. One of the vital structures in arithmetic structures is the Binary Coded Decimal (BCD)/Decimal Adder. The existing Decimal Adders require many

Analyzing Geomagnetic Data From the Dusheti Observatory During the Intense Magnetic Storms of 2024

open access: yesEarth and Space Science, Volume 13, Issue 2, February 2026.
Abstract Geomagnetic storms, intense disturbances in the Earth's magnetosphere, pose risks to both technology and human activity in space. In this study, we analyzed geomagnetic field measurements from the Dusheti Observatory in Georgia during the intense geomagnetic storms of March 3, March 24, and 11 May 2024.

Effect sizes for experimental research

open access: yesBritish Journal of Mathematical and Statistical Psychology, Volume 79, Issue 1, Page 31-45, February 2026.
Abstract Good scientific practice requires that the reporting of the statistical analysis of experiments should include estimates of effect size as well as the results of tests of statistical significance. Good statistical practice requires that effect size estimates be reported along with some indication of their statistical uncertainty, such as a ...

Stride‐to‐Stride Fluctuations and Temporal Patterns of Muscle Activity Exhibit a Stronger Relationship in Running‐Induced Fatigue

open access: yesScandinavian Journal of Medicine &Science in Sports, Volume 36, Issue 2, February 2026.
ABSTRACT During gait, the temporal patterns of stride‐to‐stride fluctuations and muscle activation exhibit similar responses. This study examined if increasing task demands such as fatigued high intensity running affects this relationship. Eleven experienced runners completed two 400‐m runs (R1, R2) with a 3‐min break to induce fatigue.
