A quantitative HCV-PCR test for routine diagnostics
Scandinavian Journal of Clinical and Laboratory Investigation, 1998The aim of this study was to develop a reliable and simple method for hepatitis C virus (HCV)-PCR using standard, automated laboratory equipment. HCV-RNA was extracted from serum and amplified in a single PCR with an internal standard. The PCR product was detected using fluoroimmunoassay.

Diagnostic Yield of Customized Exercise Provocation Following Routine Testing
The American Journal of Cardiology, 2019Clinical guidelines advocate for customization of exercise testing to address patient-specific diagnostic goals, including reproduction of presenting exertional symptoms. However, the diagnostic yield of adding customized exercise testing to graded exercise in patients presenting with exertional complaints has not been rigorously examined and is the ...

Schmallenberg virus outbreak in the Netherlands: Routine diagnostics and test results
Veterinary Microbiology, 2013At the end of 2011, a new Orthobunyavirus was discovered in Germany and named Schmallenberg virus (SBV). In the Netherlands malformations in new-born ruminants were made notifiable from the 20th of December 2011. After a notification, malformed new-borns were necropsied and brain tissue was sampled for reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction ...

Thermography as a routine diagnostic for mechanical testing of composites
Quantitative InfraRed Thermography Journal, 2008Active and passive infrared thermographies, techniques extensively used in NDE, can also be used to monitor mechanical tests of composite materials. These techniques permit a better understanding of the damage and ruin mechanisms. This is illustrated by the application of thermography to the tensile loading experiments of two sandwich coupons (carbon ...

[Routine diagnostic tests in muscular diseases].
Annales francaises d'anesthesie et de reanimation, 1990The main investigations routinely used for the diagnosis of muscle disease include biological and electrophysiological analyses, as well as muscle biopsy. The results of all these tests are discussed in order to their diagnostic and prognostic value in suspected or known muscle disease. However, the diagnosis can only be confirmed when all the data has

[Agglutination as screening test in routine diagnostic of listeriosis].
Medicinski arhiv, 2006The persons with weakened immunity, newborn infants and pregnant women are very much sensitive on infection with bacteria Listeria monocytogenes. Listeria can readily invade the placenta and precipitate premature labor and fetal death. To confirm diagnosis is very difficult because listeriosis is disease very similar to the others acute diseases. Serum

The diagnostic potential of some routine laboratory tests. off.
The British journal of clinical practice, 1994The potential was tested of white blood cell count (WBC), haemoglobin concentration (Hb) and erythrocyte volume fraction (EVF) to differentiate between patients with acute mesenteric ischaemia (AMI), perforation of colon, perforation of peptic ulcer, and intestinal obstruction.

The minimising inhibitory concentrations of four antimicrobial agents for 64 clinical isolates of Neisseria gonorrhoeae including 26 penicillinase producing strains (PPNG) as determined by E test, a recently developed method for sensitivity testing, were compared with those of agar dilution method using isosensitest (IST) agar.
