Polynomiality of Subdimensions of Diagonal Harmonics and a Sharp Stability Bound

open access: yes
A sequence of representations \(V_n\) of the symmetric group \(S_n\) is called representation (multiplicity) stable if, after some \(n\), the irreducible decomposition of \(V_n\) stabilizes. In particular, Church, Ellenburg and Farb (2015) showed that for fixed \(a\) and \(b\), the space of diagonal harmonics \(DH_n^{a,b}\) exhibits this behavior, with

Isomeric Ag14 Nanoclusters With Distinct Photophysical and Nanomechanical Properties

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Ligand‐shell isomerism in atomically precise Ag14 nanoclusters is demonstrated to regulate core distortion, photoluminescence, and mechanical properties. Subtle changes in phosphine ligand arrangement drive a pronounced emission shift from green to red and alter crystal rigidity, revealing a direct structure‐property correlation that offers new design ...

Space‐Time Metasurface Antenna Enabled High‐Dimensional Electromagnetic Modulation for Intrinsic Physical Layer Security

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The concept of high‐dimensional EM modulation using the STMA for physical layer secure communication is illustrated in figure. The STMA consists of a series of programmable unit cells, with 1‐bit reconfigurable phase states (0/π). The STMA is excited by a monochromatic continuous wave (CW) at frequency fc and controlled by a field‐programmable gate ...

Detecting diagonal activity to quantify harmonic structure preservation with cochlear implant mapping

open access: yes, 2011
Matrix multiplication is widely utilized in signal and image processing. In numerous cases, it may be considered faster than conventional algorithms. Images and sounds may be presented in a multi-dimensional matrix form. An application under study is detecting diagonal activities in matrices to quantify the amount of harmonic structure preservation of ...
