Combining ability studies in okra (Abelmoschus esculentus L. Moench)
The experiments was undertaken to study the combining ability for yield and its attributing traits in okra. The experimental material consisted of seven parents and 42 F1s produced from diallel mating design including reciprocals.

Rubber tree cultivation [Hevea brasiliensis (Willd. ex Adr. de Juss.) Muell.-Arg.] uses mostly the budding propagation method, however the expected stand uniformity due to the use of vegetative propagation is theoretical, since high variation for yield ...

Diallel analysis of temperature preference in Drosophila immigrans.
The genetic structure of temperature preference of D. immigrans was analyzed by a 4 x 4 diallel cross. Preference for low temperature was dominant to that for high temperature. Partition of the variance showed that most of the variance was additive; the variance caused by dominance was small but significant, and non-additive, non-dominance variance was

Partial diallel analysis between maize inbred lines
Diallels in maize provide the knowledge of genetic parameters of lines and heterotic groups used. In this study, the general combining ability and specific combining ability, GCA and SCA respectively, were estimated in a partial diallel cross between maize inbred lines in five crop environments.

Diallel analysis of leaf traits in rice.
Leaf morphological characters were investigated with the diallel analysis by using F1's among the five Hokkaido varieties. The additive gene effects predominated over the dominance effects in all characters. h (the total sum of the dominances of the loci) was significantly positive in the lengths of the second and third leaves, but was negative in the ...
