Photoswitching Conduction in Framework Materials
This mini‐review summarizes recent advances in state‐of‐the‐art proton and electron conduction in framework materials that can be remotely and reversibly switched on and off by light. It discusses the various photoswitching conduction mechanisms and the strategies employed to enhance photoswitched conductivity.

Relationship between ciliary sulcus diameter and anterior chamber diameter and corneal diameter
Journal of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, 2010To evaluate the relationship between the horizontal ciliary sulcus diameter and anterior chamber diameter measured by 35 MHz ultrasound biomicroscopy (UBM) and the horizontal corneal diameter (white to white [WTW]) measured by scanning-slit topography and to assess the repeatability (intraexaminer difference) of the 2 methods.Department of Orthoptics ...

Smaller Diameter and Adjustable Diameter Transjugular Intrahepatic Portosystemic Shunts
Seminars in Interventional Radiology, 2023AbstractComplications of overshunting, including hepatic encephalopathy and hepatic insufficiency, remain prevalent following transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunt (TIPS) creation. Smaller diameter TIPS may reduce the risk of overshunting, but the use of smaller stents must be weighed against the risk of undershunting and persistent or ...

DIAMETER-CONSTRAINED STEINER TREES
Discrete Mathematics, Algorithms and Applications, 2010Given an edge-weighted undirected graph G = (V, E, c, w), where each edge e ∈ E has a non-negative cost c(e) and a non-negative weight w(e), a set S ⊆ V of terminals and a positive constant D0, we seek a minimum cost Steiner tree in which all terminals appear as leaves and the tree diameter is bounded by D0.

Recent improvements in intraocular lens (IOL) design and material delay posterior capsule opacification (PCO) after cataract surgery. However, studies have shown that without anterior capsule coverage of the IOL, PCO rates tend to increase. Surgeons have traditionally sized anterior capsulotomies without using a reference. The capsulotomy diameter mark

The tangential shear due to the volume- and time-averaged pulsation velocity caused by the thermally controlled bubble growth and successive cyclic departure is found to be responsible for the natural switch from the regime of isolated bubble growth and departure into the regime of mutual interaction bubble growth and departure as the temperature ...
