Effect of wearing diapers on toddler’s gait

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2021
Gait maturation in infants develops gradually through several phases. However, external factors such as childrearing practices, especially the wearing of diapers, may affect an infant’s motor development.

Aptamer‐Targeted PrPC Drives Colorectal Cancer Metastasis via a LYN‐STAT3 Complex and Enables Liquid Biopsy Detection

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The aptamer WHY‐3E identifies PrPC as a CRC driver. Stabilized by USP18, endocytosed PrPC forms a LYN/STAT3 complex, upregulating MSN transcription to promote metastasis. Crucially, WHY‐3E sensitively detects PrPC‐positive circulating exosomes, establishing a robust theoretical foundation for non‐invasive clinical diagnostics.

Stool frequency recording in severe acute malnutrition (‘StoolSAM’); an agreement study comparing maternal recall versus direct observation using diapers

open access: yesBMC Pediatrics, 2017
Background Approximately 50% of the deaths of children under the age of 5 can be attributed to undernutrition, which also encompasses severe acute malnutrition (SAM).

The Potential of super absorbent polymers from diaper wastes to enhance water retention properties of the soil

open access: yesSoil & Environment, 2020
The management of disposable diapers is a major problem. Moreover, light-textured soils are characterized by low water holding capacity and excessive drainage, thus significant portion of irrigation water is lost below the root zone.

Wearable‐Derived Diurnal Alignment Between Physical Activity and Device Temperature Predicts Future Disease and Mortality Risk

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Wearable‐derived diurnal alignment between physical activity and device temperature, decomposed into 24 h coupling strength (M24), phase deviation (D24), and 12 h harmonic magnitude (M12), is examined in approximately 90,000 UK Biobank participants.

Extrinsic and Intrinsic Charge Transfer at Interfaces of Membrane‐Based Oxide Heterostructures

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
Freestanding oxides have emerged as a new opportunity to tailor oxides outside of the typical epitaxial constraints. We present the fabrication of TiO2‐terminated SrTiO3 membranes via direct growth control. We demonstrate competing ionic and electronic charge transfer in LaAlO3/SrTiO3 bilayers using near ambient pressure XPS.

CO2‐Induced Reverse Lattice Oxygen Spillover on Pt/CeO2 Enables Sulfur‐Resistant Dry Reforming of Methane

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
A critical step, dry reforming of methane (DRM) converts biogas into useful syngas. Yet trace H2S in biogas rapidly poisons DRM catalysts, limiting practical use. We developed a robust Pt/CeO2 catalyst sustaining DRM activity via CO2‐induced reverse lattice oxygen spillover in H2S‐rich environments.

Integrating Automated Electrochemistry and High‐Throughput Characterization with Machine Learning to Explore Si─Ge─Sn Thin‐Film Lithium Battery Anodes

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, Volume 15, Issue 11, March 18, 2025.
A closed‐loop, data‐driven approach facilitates the exploration of high‐performance Si─Ge─Sn alloys as promising fast‐charging battery anodes. Autonomous electrochemical experimentation using a scanning droplet cell is combined with real‐time optimization to efficiently navigate composition space.
