Double-Strand RNA (dsRNA) Delivery Methods in Insects: Diaphorina citri
2021RNAi is a gene-silencing mechanism conserved in the vast majority of eukaryotes. It is widely used to study gene function in animals due to the ease of eliciting gene knockdown. Beyond research applications, RNAi technology based on exogenous dsRNA is a promising candidate for next generation insect pest control.

Odorant binding protein 2 reduces imidacloprid susceptibility of Diaphorina citri
Pesticide Biochemistry and Physiology, 2020The Asian citrus psyllid, Diaphorina citri, is the principal vector of Huanglongbing pathogen Candidatus Liberibacter asiaticus (CLas), which causes severe economic losses to citrus industry worldwide. Use of broad-spectrum insecticides to control D. citri has resulted in considerable resistance development.

Chemosensory protein 8 confers thiamethoxam resistance in Diaphorina citri
Pesticide Biochemistry and PhysiologyThe Asian citrus psyllid (Diaphorina citri) serves as the primary vector of the bacterium Candidatus Liberibacter asiaticus (CLas), which is responsible for causing citrus Huanglongbing. Neonicotinoid pesticides such as thiamethoxam are frequently utilized for D.
