Degradation of NiMo Catalyst Under Intermittent Operation of Anion Exchange Membrane Water Electrolyzer and its Mitigation by Carbon Encapsulation

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
Herein, by employing a reference electrode, the durability of anion exchange membrane water electrolyzer (AEMWE) under intermittent condition is demonstrated to be governed by the stability of the cathode catalyst. By encapsulating NiMo catalyst with carbon shells, the oxidation‐induced irreversible transformation to inactive hydroxide is prevented ...

Nano silica diaphragm in-fiber cavity for gas pressure measurement

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2017
We demonstrate an ultrahigh-sensitivity gas pressure sensor based on the Fabry-Perot interferometer employing a fiber-tip diaphragm-sealed cavity. The cavity is comprised of a silica capillary and ultrathin silica diaphragm with a thickness of 170 nm ...

Development Status and Future Prospects of Hydrogen Energy Technology: Production, Storage, and Cost Analysis

open access: yesAdvanced Energy and Sustainability Research, EarlyView.
Hydrogen is an energy carrier, produced from renewable and nonrenewable resources. It can be stored in a variety of materials and transported to distant locations. This article reviews progress in hydrogen technology by looking at environmental and economic impact, cost analysis, and policy support at government level as way forward for bringing it to ...

Multiomics identifies the link between intratumor steatosis and the exhausted tumor immune microenvironment in hepatocellular carcinoma

open access: yesHepatology, EarlyView., 2022
Steatotic HCC can be diagnosed by MRI and forms a pro‐tumor immune microenvironment with high expression of PD‐L1, M2 polarization of macrophages and activation of CAFs, which may be a good target for combined immunotherapy. Abstract Background and Aims Immunotherapy has become the standard‐of‐care treatment for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), but its ...

Analysis of diaphragm behaviour in composite multi girder railway bridges

open access: yesJournal of Civil Engineering and Management, 2004
This study focuses on mechanical behaviour of diaphragm in composite multigirders railway bridge. The aim is to predict and to compare, with a numerical simulation, the transverse and longitudinal distribution of traffic loads in different girders and in

Functional assessment of the diaphragm by speckle tracking ultrasound during inspiratory loading.

open access: yesJournal of applied physiology, 2017
Assessment of diaphragmatic effort is challenging, especially in critically ill patients in the phase of weaning. Fractional thickening during inspiration assessed by ultrasound has been used to estimate diaphragm effort.

External Validation of an Automated Surgical Step Recognition Model for Robotic Distal Gastrectomy (RDG) Using a Multicenter Dataset

open access: yesAnnals of Gastroenterological Surgery, EarlyView.
Our present study reveals that surgical step recognition performs moderately well when trained on video data from a single institution and applied to an external institution's data. Nevertheless, our model substantially improves its prediction capabilities when trained on the same amount of data from multiple institutions.
