Facile Synthesis Toward Surface Decorated Ir1Ox@Pd35 with Low Iridium Content for Highly Efficient and Durable Proton Exchange Membrane Water Electrolyzer

open access: yesChemElectroChem, EarlyView.
Reducing iridium usage is critical for sustainable catalyst development. Iridium‐decorated palladium nanoclusters (Ir1Ox@Pd35) were synthesized using an epoxide‐assisted sol‐gel method. Characterization revealed a porous structure that inhibited Pd growth, enhancing oxygen evolution reaction activity and durability.

An RBF partition of unity method for geometry reconstruction and PDE solution in thin structures [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv
The main respiratory muscle, the diaphragm, is an example of a thin structure. We aim to perform detailed numerical simulations of the muscle mechanics based on individual patient data. This requires a representation of the diaphragm geometry extracted from medical image data.

Neutron imaging of high-temperature Na-Zn Cells: implications for cell design and fabrication [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv
Electrochemical cells employing Sodium (Na) and Zinc (Zn) electrodes and a chloride salt electrolyte have been imaged by neutron radiography during cycling. The use of such abundant raw materials confers a very low energy-normalised cost to the Na-Zn system, but its operation requires them to be entirely molten, and therefore to be operated at 600 ...

Quality Control of Sewage Water in Wastewater Treatment Plants using Raman Technologies

open access: yesChemie Ingenieur Technik, EarlyView.
Innovative Raman spectroscopy methods for enhancing wastewater treatment monitoring are introduced. Improved sensitivity in detecting low concentrations of analytes is demonstrated, addressing challenges like cross‐sensitivity and turbidity. The findings highlight the potential for more accurate and robust inline monitoring in wastewater treatment ...

Biomass‐Derived Carbon Nanomaterials: Synthesis and Applications in Textile Wastewater Treatment, Sensors, Energy Storage, and Conversion Technologies

open access: yesCleanMat, EarlyView.
Biomass Sources, synthesis techniques, structures, applications, and contribution toward SDG goals of biomass‐derived carbon nanomaterials. ABSTRACT Plant life has dominated this planet from the beginning of time. With over 82% of biomass (BM) coming from plants, primarily trees, plants are the dominant form of life on Earth.
