Method of producing a carbon diaphragm for an acoustic instrument
The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 1981A method of producing a diaphragm of an acoustic instrument having the steps of blending powders of carbon such as graphite, carbon black or the like and a thermoplastic or a thermosetting resin, shaping the resultant blend into a desired form and then carbonizing the shaped blend.

Graphene diaphragm analysis for pressure or acoustic sensor applications
Microsystem Technologies, 2013Graphene has remarkable mechanical properties, and it is a very promising material for sensors. The progress of graphene diaphragm based pressure sensor was detailed firstly. Then the deflection of pressurized circular graphene diaphragm with pre-stress was discussed, an approximate solution was given to substitute Hencky's series solution.

Electro-acoustic transducer with free edge diaphragm
The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 1982In a loudspeaker, a suitably formed edge part is provided around the periphery of the diaphragm to form a certain gap between the edge part and an edge receiving part which has an annular recess corresponding to the configuration of the edge part, so that the pressure gradient in the gap is in balance with the surrounding pressure gradient, with the ...

Modelling and simulation of diaphragm based MEMS acoustic sensors
2014 International Conference on Green Computing Communication and Electrical Engineering (ICGCCEE), 2014In this paper we present a simpler technique for designing an acoustic sensor based on Zinc Oxide as thin film for diaphragm. This diaphragm thickness has been optimized to withstand sound pressure level range of 100–200 dB. Stress distributions using Intellisuite has been plotted. We utilize MEMS technology to design acoustic displacement sensor chips

Diaphragm-type fiber-optic interferometric acoustic sensor
Optical Engineering, 2003A diaphragm-type fiber-optic acoustic sensor is developed. In such a sensor, the sound-induced strain is imposed on the fiber on the diaphragm-type sensing element, and can be measured by the use of a Mach-Zehnder interferometer. The diaphragm structure can provide di- rectional response with high sensitivity.

A new acoustic transducer with a pressure-deformed piezoelectric diaphragm
Sensors and Actuators A: Physical, 2012Abstract A new design for wide-band acoustic transducers is described. Radial tension is applied to a thin piezoelectric diaphragm with conductive electrodes on the upper and lower surface. One side of the diaphragm is pressurized, elastically deforming the diaphragm into a slightly curved shape. The in-plane static tension is modulated by applying a
