Modulating Metal–Oxygen Bond Energy by Valence State Engineering in 2D High Entropy Oxides for Enhanced Water Electrolysis

open access: yesCarbon Energy, EarlyView.
The competitive redox equilibrium among different elements in 2D HEO is regulated through temperature‐controlled pyrolysis of 2D HEHO, obtaining 2D HEO with a continuously adjustable valence state of Fe, Ni, Mo, Ru, and V elements, which modulate the strength of the metal–O bond and activate the LOM‐OVSM for OER.

Experimental Study on the Characteristics of Dual Synthetic Jets Modulated by Driving Signals

open access: yesActuators
Piezoelectric synthetic jet actuators typically struggle to generate high-speed jets at low driving frequencies due to the coupling effect between jet frequency and jet intensity. This limitation to some extent restricts their application in flow control

Investigation on hard‐rock breaking performance and auxiliary mechanism of picks assisted with both‐sided high‐pressure water jets

open access: yesDeep Underground Science and Engineering, EarlyView.
This paper investigates the high‐pressure water jet‐pick combined rock‐breaking mode (HPC), which employs high‐pressure water jets to precut grooves on both sides of the picks. The rock‐breaking patterns and performance of the HPC method are obtained, and the auxiliary rock‐breaking mechanism of water jet grooving is revealed.

金属挠性膜片联轴器的动静复合应力分析

open access: yesJixie chuandong, 2009
The disc in the rotating metal-disc coupling produces alternating stresses when the angular misalignment is imposed on the coupling, which will result in fatigue problem. The stress analysis with the finite element method on the scalloped disc couplings is

Enhanced Hydrogen Evolution Reaction Performance of Ni‐Doped MoS2 with 1T Structure for Alkaline Water Electrolyzer: Introduction of 1T Phase and Morphological Optimization Through Co‐Sputtering Technique

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, EarlyView.
The hydrogen evolution reaction activity of Ni‐doped MoS2 is enhanced by optimizing sputtering parameters in co‐sputtering. Sputtering power controls morphology and Ni doping which promotes 1T yield and activates basal planes. Sputtering time changes 1T yield regardless of Ni ratio.

Experimental characterization of photon-number noise in Rarity-Tapster type interferometers

open access: yes, 2017
In this paper, we develop a simple model describing inherent photon-number noise in Rarity-Tapster type interferometers. This noise is caused by generating photon pairs in the process of spontaneous parametric down-conversion and adding a third photon by
