Potassium induced potential changes in rat diaphragm muscle
Pflügers Archiv, 1976The effect of different potassium concentrations on the membrane potential and membrane resistance of rat diaphragm muscle fibres was measured by means of a double sucrose gap method and a microelectrode technique. Concentration measurements showed that the muscle fibres gained sodium and lost potassium in the equilibration period.

BOVINE DIAPHRAGM FOR MUSCLE 3D ORGANOID
2022A primary cell 3D organoid technology represents a physiologically very interesting model for basic research and drug screening, in fact this system can demonstrate effect and toxicity of drugs reducing the costs. Bioengineered scaffolds derived from the decellularized extracellular matrix (ECM) obtained from discarded animal organs and tissues are ...

Chloroquine Treatment Causes Diaphragm Muscle Denervation
PhysiologyChloroquine (CQ), an antimalarial agent, inhibits autophagy by preventing the autophagosome from fusing with the lysosome, emulating the effects of aging. Autophagy is a cellular digestion process that contributes to homeostasis through degradation of cytoplasmic structures in the cell.
