Photo‐electrochromic salt composed by viologen cation and diarylethene anion derivatives

open access: yesElectrochemical Science Advances, 2023
A multi‐responsive photo and electrochromic salt based on a viologen derivative ([(C10)2Bpy]2+) as organic cation combined with diarylethene anion ([DTE]2−) is synthesized and characterized for the first time.

PHOTOCHROMIC DIARYLETHENE-CONTAINING COORDINATION COMPOUNDS AND THE PRODUCTION THEREOF [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
Diarylethene-containing ligands and their coordination compounds are described. The ligands display photochromism with UV excitation, while the coordination compounds display photochromism with both excitation in the UV region and excitation into lower ...

Photosalient Effect of Diarylethene Crystals of Thiazoyl and Thienyl Derivatives.

open access: yesChemistry, 2019
The photoresponse of diarylethene crystals is found to depend on the intensity of UV light, that is, photoinduced bending is switched to photosalient phenomena by increasing the light intensity.
