A new armored scale species from Iran (Hemiptera: Coccomorpha: Diaspididae) [PDF]
A new armored scale species, Aspidiotus mousavii sp. nov. (Hemiptera: Coccomorpha: Diaspididae) is described and illustrated. The specimens were collected on Matthiola revoluta (Brassicaceae) in Semnan province, Iran.

Unraveling an extreme AT-rich and complex mitochondrial genome: the first complete mitogenome of the species-rich family Diaspididae (Hemiptera, Coccomorpha) and its evolutionary implications [PDF]
The assembly of insect mitochondrial genomes remains challenging in certain taxa due to extreme AT biases and long repetitive regions. The family Diaspididae (Hemiptera: Coccomorpha) exemplifies this difficulty; despite more than 2,700 described species ...

Phylogenomics Resolves the Evolution of Sternorrhyncha (Insecta: Hemiptera). [PDF]
Phylogeny of Sternorrhyncha based on Matrix2 under PMSF (LG+C60+F+R) model. ABSTRACT Sternorrhyncha, one of the four major suborders of Hemiptera, represents a phytophagous insect clade comprising nearly 18,000 described species. While recent phylogenomic studies have made significant efforts to elucidate the internal phylogenetic relationships within ...

Modelling response of Delottococcus aberiae (De lotto) male captures to pheromone emission rates. [PDF]
Using increasing doses of the sex pheromone of D. aberiae, our model revealed that the emission levels to maximize the captures of males ranges from 0.4 to 40 μg/day. Abstract BACKGROUND An invasive mealybug from South Africa identified as Delottococcus aberiae (De Lotto) (Hemiptera: Pseudococcidae) is causing severe distortions and fruit size ...

Morphology and Distribution of Thermo- Hygro-Ir- and Chemo-Receptors for Females of Family Diaspididae (Hemiptera: Sternorrhyncha) [PDF]
The comparative study of the female body structures of many species of Diaspididae has been done using Leica microsystems. Several types of sensilla were described for three species namely: Parlatoria zizyphii, Lepidosaphes ficus and Lepidosaphes beckii.
