Definition and Causes of Diastema

2015
Diastema has a multifactorial etiology. Some of the etiological factors are clear-cut, whereas others are controversial and not completely elucidated. It is very important to define the possible causes because the treatment of diastema depends on the correct diagnosis of the etiology and elimination of the causes.
