Spectrophotometric Determination of Some Dibenzazepines

Analytical Letters, 1992
Abstract Simple and sensitive method is proposed for determination of four di-benzazepine derivatives. The method is based on the oxidation of dibenzazepines by potassium dichromate in acid medium. The reaction was followed spectrophoto-metrically by measuring the rate of change in absorbance of the coloured products at 670 nm.

Visible Light‐Mediated Construction of Sulfonated Dibenzazepines

Chinese Journal of Chemistry, 2021
Main observation and conclusionA new method to access sulfonated dibenz[b,e]azepines via visible‐light photoredox catalysis is described. Employing inexpensive and commercially available sulfonyl chlorides to form the sulfonyl radicals enables the alkyne addition reaction followed by a 7‐membered radical cyclization step to furnish sulfonated ...

Dibenzazepines and dibenzoxazepines as sodium channel blockers

Bioorganic & Medicinal Chemistry Letters, 2015
We have identified two related series of dibenzazepine and dibenzoxazepine sodium channel blockers, which showed good potency on Nav1.7 in FLIPR-based and electrophysiological functional assays.

Peroxidase‐catalysed oxidation of different dibenzazepine derivatives

Archiv der Pharmazie, 1995
AbstractAccording to a recent hypothesis suggesting the potential role of free radical formation in the clozapine‐induced agranulocytosis, we have evaluated the susceptibility to the peroxidase‐mediated oxidation of different dibenzazepine analogues. On the one hand, compounds with an arylamine group such as clozapine present a high reactivity in the ...

Dibenzazepine-linked isoxazoles: New and potent class of α-glucosidase inhibitors

Bioorganic & Medicinal Chemistry Letters, 2021
α-Glucosidase inhibition is a valid approach for controlling hyperglycemia in diabetes. In the current study, new molecules as a hybrid of isoxazole and dibenzazepine scaffolds were designed, based on their literature as antidiabetic agents. For this, a series of dibenzazepine-linked isoxazoles (33-54) was prepared using Nitrile oxide-Alkyne ...

Spectrophotometric determination of some dibenzazepines with picryl chloride

Talanta, 1989
A simple and sensitive spectrophotometric method has been developed for the determination of some dibenzazepines, based on reaction with picryl chloride in chloroform medium and measurement at 395 nm. Beer's law is obeyed in concentration ranges 0.1-1.0 microg/ml for imipramine hydrochloride, trimipramine maleate and opipramol dihydrochloride, 0.16-1.6

Synthesis of some dibenzazepines of possible therapeutic interest.

Die Pharmazie, 1977
Among the hypotensive drugs are the N-alkyldibenz[c,e]-azepines. A representative of this class is 6-allyl-6,7-dihydro-5H-dibenz[c,e]azepine (azapetine). The present investigation involved the preparation of a new series of N-[6,7-dihydro-5H-dibenz[c,e]azepin-6-yl] acid amides namely; acetamide, benzamide, phehyl acetamide, salicylamide and p ...

Spectrophotometric determination of some dibenzazepine drugs by electrophilic coupling

Talanta, 1989
Two sensitive spectrophotometric methods for the determination of imipramine hydrochloride, clomipramine hydrochloride, desipramine hydrochloride, and trimipramine maleate in bulk and in dosage forms are described. The first method is based on the interaction of diazotized p-nitroaniline (DPNA) with the dibenzazepine drug in 5M hydrochloric acid.

11-Phenyl-[b,e]-dibenzazepine compounds: Novel antitumor agents

Bioorganic & Medicinal Chemistry Letters, 2009
A series of 11-phenyl-[b,e]-dibenzazepine compounds were synthesized and shown to be inhibitors of tumor cell proliferation with IC(50) values ranging from submicromolar to micromolar concentrations. Flow cytometric analyses of several active compounds demonstrated inhibition of cell cycle progression at the G(0)-G(1) phase transition resulting in G(0)-

Multicomponent-Multicatalyst Reactions (MC)2R: Efficient Dibenzazepine Synthesis

Organic Letters, 2013
A Rh(I)/Pd(0) catalyst system was applied to the multicomponent synthesis of aza-dibenzazepines from vinylpyridines, arylboronic acids, and amines in a domino process with no intermediate isolation or purification.
