Synthesis of Thiadiazoles and 1,2,4-Triazoles Derived from Cyclopropane Dicarboxylic Acid
New heterocyclic derivatives of cyclopropane dicarboxylic acid comprising thiadiazole and 1,2,4-triazole moieties are reported. Reaction of 1,1-cyclopropane dicarboxylic acid (1) with thiosemicarbazide and phosphorous oxychloride resulted in 1,1-bis (2 ...

Use of dicarboxylic acids in type 2 diabetes [PDF]
Even‐number, medium‐chain dicarboxylic acids (DAs), naturally occurring in higher plants, are a promising alternative energy substrate. Unlike the homologous fatty acids, DAs are soluble in water as salts. They are β‐oxidized, providing acetyl‐CoA and succinyl‐CoA, the latter being an intermediate of the tricarboxylic acid cycle.

Novel and Efficient Procedure for the Preparation of Two Pyridine Dicarboxylic Acid Derivatives [PDF]
New strategies for the synthesis of two pyridine dicarboxylic acid derivatives namely; 4-(2-(2,6-dicarboxypyridin-4-yl)vinyl)pyridine-2,6-dicarboxylic acid and 2,6-bis(2-(2,6–dicarboxy-pyridin-4-yl)vinyl)pyridine have been described.

The biochemistry and physiology of long-chain dicarboxylic acid metabolism. [PDF]
Mitochondrial β-oxidation is the most prominent pathway for fatty acid oxidation but alternative oxidative metabolism exists. Fatty acid ω-oxidation is one of these pathways and forms dicarboxylic acids as products.

13C dicarboxylic acid signatures indicate temporal shifts in catchment sediment sources in response to extreme winter rainfall. [PDF]
Rainfall and land-use interactions drive temporal shifts in suspended sediment sources, yet the magnitude of such changes remains poorly understood due to the lack of land-use specific source tracers.
