Dicyandiamide has more inhibitory activities on nitrification than thiosulfate. [PDF]

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2018
Dicyandiamide (DCD) and thiosulfates are two type of nitrification inhibitors (NIs) that have been widely used in agriculture to improve nitrogen (N) fertilizer use efficiency and mitigate negative effect of N on environment.

Ability of nitrapyrin, dicyandiamide and acetylene to retard nitrification in a mineral and an organic soil [PDF]

open access: yes, 1987
Laboratory experiments were conducted to evaluate the efficacy of nitrapyrin, dicyandiamide (DCD) and acetylene (C2H2) as nitrification inhibitors in a silt loam and oragnic soil with and without added NH4. Nitrapyrin (8 μg/g soil) and DCD (20 μg/g soil)

Combined effects of spent mushroom substrate and dicyandiamide on carbendazim dissipation in soils: Double-edged sword effects and potential risk controls

open access: yes, 2022
Repeated and high-dose carbendazim applications have caused serious soil carbendazim contamination, and eco-friendly and economical approaches have been suggested to promote carbendazim removal in agricultural soil.

Perovskite CsPbI3 Nanocrystal and Nanowire Incorporated G‐C3N4 Nanosheets for CO2 Reduction and NO Removal

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
CsPbI3 nanostructures integrated with g‐C3N4 formed S‐scheme heterojunctions enabling efficient photocatalytic CO2 reduction and NO abatement. The g‐C3N4/CsPbI3 nanowires achieved a CO production rate of 4.6 µmol g−1 h−1, while nanocrystal composites delivered 69.5% NO removal with only 5.0% NO2 selectivity, driven by highly energetic charge carriers ...

Non-additive effects of bamboo-derived biochar and dicyandiamide on soil greenhouse gas emissions, enzyme activity and bacterial community

open access: yes, 2023
Carbon dioxide (CO2) and nitrous oxide (N2O) are important greenhouse gases, with large amounts released from agriculture and forest ecosystems. Bamboo-derived biochar and dicyandiamide (DCD) have the potential to reduce soil CO2 and/or N2O fluxes ...

Grenzflächen‐Synergie zwischen Mn und Kohlenstoffnitrid ermöglicht die selektive photokatalytische C–H‐Chlorierung mittels Einzelatomkatalyse

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.

Effects of Biochar and Dicyandiamide on Root Traits, Yield, and Soil N2O Emissions of Greenhouse Tomato Under a Biogas Slurry Hole Irrigation System

open access: yesNitrogen
To explore fertilization strategies that achieve both high yield and emission reduction in greenhouse tomato production, a two-season experiment was conducted in autumn 2023 and spring 2024 under equal nitrogen input.

Interfacial Mn‐Carbon Nitride Synergy Enables Selective Photocatalytic C─H Chlorination via Single‐Atom Catalysis

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie International Edition, EarlyView.
A manganese single‐atom photocatalyst on functionalised carbon nitride enables selective visible‐light‐driven C(sp2)─H chlorination. DFT‐supported mechanistic studies indicate that photoinduced charge separation activates NCS, while isolated Mn sites stabilize Mn─Cl intermediates at the catalyst interface.
