A kannemeyeriid dicynodont from the Middle Triassic Yerrapalli Formation
Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society of London. B, Biological Sciences, 1988Wadiasaurus indicus is so far the only kannemeyeriid known for certain from India, from the early Middle Triassic Yerrapalli Formation of the Pranhita-Godavari valley. Recently, a large number of bones have been recovered from a single locality very close to the site from where the type skull of Wadiasaurus

Bone Histology of a Kannemeyeriid Dicynodont Wadiasaurus: Palaeobiological Implications
2010Examination of the bone microstructure of several skeletal elements shows that the cortex comprises fibrolamellar bone tissue suggesting rapid osteogenesis and overall fast growth for Wadiasaurus, a kannemeyeriid dicynodont from India. Three distinct stages have been identified in the ontogeny of Wadiasaurus.

New evidence of large Permo-Triassic dicynodonts (Synapsida) from Australia
Journal of Vertebrate Paleontology, 2011Dicynodonts are herbivorous synapsids found in Permian and Triassic deposits in all of the Pangean continents. The fossil evidence of this group from Australia is limited to a quadrate, part of a tusk (Thulborn, 1983a, 1990), and a partial femur (Northwood, 1997), all recorded from the earliest Triassic Arcadia Formation in central Queensland ...

Endothiodont dicynodonts from the Late Permian Kundaram Formation, India
Palaeontology, 2000The Kundaram Formation, a Lower Gondwana unit of the Pranhita‐Godavari valley, contains the only known Permian dicynodonts in India. This dicynodont assemblage is dominated by Endothiodon. Two species (Endothiodon mahalanobisi sp. nov and Endothiodon uniseries Owen 1879) are described here.

ABSTRACT The dicynodont species “Cryptocynodon” parringtoni von Huene, 1942 was described from a single poorly preserved specimen collected from the Upper Permian Kawinga Formation, Ruhuhu Basin, Tanzania. No additional specimens have been referred to the species since its erection.

Species longevity and generic diversity in dicynodont mammal-like reptiles
Palaeogeography, Palaeoclimatology, Palaeoecology, 1993Abstract The dicynodont mammal-like reptiles are generally considered to exhibit high generic and specific diversity, but recent generic and specific revisions of the group illustrate that this belief is unfounded. Species level taxonomic revisions of seven genera of dicynodonts show that genera tend to be monospecific and species probably lasted ...
