Breeding of Philander frenata (Didelphimorphia, Didelphidae) in captivity
Laboratory Animals, 1998Data on the reproductive biology and laboratory management of Philander frenata are presented here. Sensory contact before pairing increased breeding success and reduced aggression between pairs. Gestation period was 13–14 days, with a post-lactation oestrous. Births occurred only between August and February.

Chagas disease is caused by Trypanosoma cruzi Chagas, a parasite with a life cycle involving hematophagous triatomines and vertebrate mammals as hosts. The parasite's metapopulation is nested within its biological habitat patches, or hosts.
