Enhancing Low‐Temperature Performance of Sodium‐Ion Batteries via Anion‐Solvent Interactions
DOL is introduced into electrolytes as a co‐solvent, increasing slat solubility, ion conductivity, and the de‐solvent process, and forming an anion‐rich solvent shell due to its high interaction with anion. With the above virtues, the batteries using this electrolyte exhibit excellent cycling stability at low temperatures. Abstract Sodium‐ion batteries

Dynamic positive column in long-gap barrier discharges
A simple analytical model of the barrier discharge in a long gap between opposing plane electrodes is developed. It is shown that the plasma density becomes uniform over large part of the gap in the course of the discharge development, so that one can ...

The dielectric properties of clays are studied on the level of individual monolayers and functional double stacks. The material breakdown characteristics and charge storage performance are analyzed. For illustration, a defined charge pattern representing a cuneiform character is produced, written into a microscopic clay tile, referencing the origins of

Trailing Edge Noise Reduction by Passive and Active Flow Controls [PDF]
This paper presents the results on the use of porous metal foams (passive control) and dielectric barrier surface plasma actuations (active control) for the reduction of vortex shedding tonal noises from the nonflat plate type trailing edge serration in ...

Shellac, a centuries‐old natural resin, is reimagined as a green material for flexible electronics. When combined with silver nanowires, shellac films deliver transparency, conductivity, and stability against humidity. These results position shellac as a sustainable alternative to synthetic polymers for transparent conductors in next‐generation ...

Pulsed Dielectric Barrier Discharges for Gas-Phase Composition Control: A Simulation Model
We present results obtained from the numerical simulation of the gas-phase chemical kinetics in atmospheric pressure air non-equilibrium plasmas. In particular, we addressed the effect of the pulsed operation mode of a planar dielectric barrier discharge.

Regiorandom Polythiophenes for Fully Stretchable Electrochemical Transistors and Logic Circuits
Regiorandom (RRa) polythiophenes, once regarded as unsuitable for electronics, exhibit exceptional switching performance via volumetric electrochemical doping. Optimized RRa‐based organic electrochemical transistors (OECTs) achieve a high on/off ratio (≈104), stable operation under 200% strain, and enable fully stretchable logic gates, demonstrating ...
