The breakdown strength of two-layer dielectrics
11th International Symposium on High-Voltage Engineering (ISH 99), 1999In paper the experimental results of the breakdown strength study for the two-layer dielectrics under the high electric field are given. The relation between the breakdown strength (E b ) and the boundary position (ξ) between layers for the two-layer dielectrics is anomalous in character.

Effect of Elongation on Dielectric Breakdown Strength in Polyethylene
Japanese Journal of Applied Physics, 1975A measurement of the dielectric breakdown strength in low- and high-density polyethylene was carried out under the condition of elongation by tensile stress. The wave forms of applied voltages were a.c., d.c. and impulse (1×40 µs) voltages, and the thickness of films of polyethylene was ca. 50 µm.

Increased dielectric breakdown strengths of melt-extruded polypropylene films
Polymer, 1993Abstract Melt-extruded polypropylene resin containing 1% or 2% ceresine wax yielded thin films that had significantly increased dielectric breakdown strengths but with virtually identical bulk dielectric properties. Ceresine wax acts as a trapping centre for electrons and by minimizing ionization of host polypropylene molecules, dielectric breakdown ...

Remarkable Dielectric Breakdown Strength of Printable Polyelectrolyte Photopolymer Complexes
ACS Macro LettersPolymer-based dielectrics are struggling to keep pace with the increasing demands of modern electronics. This lag in dielectric performance has spurred significant interest in the production of advanced dielectrics via novel chemistries and processing techniques.

Dielectric Permittivity and Breakdown Strength of Molybdenum Trioxide Films
Journal of the Physical Society of Japan, 1975Dielectric behaviour of molybdenum trioxide films as a function of frequency (up to 10 MHz), thickness (from nearly 350 to 5000A) and temperature (room temperature to nearly 200°C) is reported. The films were prepared by vacuum evaporation technique and their thickness was measured by multiple beam interferometry.

MATCHING MATRIX AND FILLER DIELECTRIC CONSTANTS TO INCREASE DIELECTRIC BREAKDOWN STRENGTH
2013Dielectric breakdown strength increases by matching dielectric constant values at the composite interface. Cyanate ester resin is modified with BaTiO3 nano-powder to match E-glass dielectric constant.

Enhancement of Dielectric Breakdown Strengths in Polymer Film Capacitors
SAE Technical Paper Series, 1992<div class="htmlview paragraph">Breakdown voltages of wound, polymer film/metal foil capacitors have been dramatically increased by briefly exposing them (after they had been spirally wound) to a low pressure, low temperature gas plasma. Exposure of wound, polycarbonate-based capacitors to a 96%CF4/4%O2</sub ...
