Dielectric Constant of Powders

Nature, 1964
MEASUREMENTS have been made at 9,200 Mc/s to determine the dependence of dielectric constant of powder samples' packing densities. The net polarization P produced in a substance in an electric field consists of the contributions of electronic, atomic and dipolar polarizations. It is related to the dielectric constant by Clausius–Masotti relation:

Various Dielectric Constants

Ferroelectrics, 2015
We investigate dielectric constants in dielectrics and ferroelectrics. The dielectric constants stem from pseudo-Josephson mechanism. The Josephson mechanism includes spontaneous polarizations in ferroelectric states. Using the Maxwell equations, the dielectric constants are obtained from little pseudo-Josephson currents.

Dielectric Constants of Quartz

Journal of Applied Physics, 1972
The dielectric constants of quartz have been determined by measuring the capacitance per unit area of parallel-plate capacitors made by depositing metallic electrodes on surfaces of thin plates of quartz cut in such a way that the major surfaces are respectively perpendicular and parallel to the optic axis.

The dielectric constant of a liquid

Australian Journal of Chemistry, 1953
Some earlier theories in which attempts have been made to allow for the influence of molecular shape on the static dielectric constant of a liquid are shown to be inaccurate. A general equation is derived for the dielectric constant of a liquid, and this is then applied to a molecular model consisting, in the first instance, of an ellipsoid uniformly ...
