On the dielectric constant of liquid ammonia [PDF]

open access: yesChemical Physics Letters, 1986
Abstract The purpose of this paper is to examine a simple polar -polarizable model for liquid ammonia. Theoretical values of the mean molecular dipole moment and the static dielectric constant are reported for temperatures ranging from −70°C to 35° C.

Permittivity effects of particle agglomeration in ferroelectric ceramic-epoxy composites using finite element modeling

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2018
The size dependence of the dielectric constants of barium titanate or other ferroelectric particles can be explored by embedding particles into an epoxy matrix whose dielectric constant can be measured directly.

Magnetoelectric coupling in MnTiO3 [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
We give general arguments that show that the linear magnetoelectric effect in antiferromagnetic materials gives rise to a magnetocapacitance anomaly—a divergence of the dielectric constant at the magnetic ordering temperature TN that appears in an ...

Growth Stress Induced Tunability of Dielectric Constant in Thin Films

open access: yes, 2015
It is demonstrated here that growth stress has a substantial effect on the dielectric constant of zirconia thin films. The correct combination of parameters - phase, texture and stress - is shown to yield films with high dielectric constant and best ...
