A novel approach for measuring dielectric properties of materials using multi-length bifilar technique

open access: yesMeasurement: Sensors
A novel methodology is introduced for measuring the dielectric properties of materials using a bifilar transmission line for material characterisation. The investigation targets liquids and semi-solid media, including gels, pastes, and moist soils, with ...

Counterion Dependent Side‐Chain Relaxation Stiffens a Chemically Doped Thienothiophene Copolymer

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Oxidation of a thienothiophene copolymer, p(g3TT‐T2), via different doping strategies and dopant molecules resulted in materials with similar oxidation levels and a high electrical conductivity of ≈100 S cm−1. However, mechanical properties varied significantly, with sub‐glass transition temperatures and elastic moduli spanning from –44°C to –3°C and ...

Study on the Formation and Disassociation Process of Hydrate in Porous Media by Permittivity Dispersion Measurement

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
To develop a more efficient and environmentally friendly exploitation and production method of gas hydrate, a better understanding of the formation and disassociation process mechanism of gas hydrate in porous media is indispensable.

Intermediate Resistive State in Wafer‐Scale Vertical MoS2 Memristors Through Lateral Silver Filament Growth for Artificial Synapse Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
In MOCVD MoS2 memristors, a current compliance‐regulated Ag filament mechanism is revealed. The filament ruptures spontaneously during volatile switching, while subsequent growth proceeds vertically through the MoS2 layers and then laterally along the van der Waals gaps during nonvolatile switching.

Wearable Smart Patches on Sustainable Chitosan With Reversible Microbial Growth‐Inhibitory Properties

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Chitosan, a polysaccharide upcycled from biowaste, has long promised sustainable, biocompatible, and antimicrobial films and devices, an appeal reinforced by its recent regulatory recognition, with several chitosan‐based antibacterial dressings gaining clearance through the Food and Drug Administration's 510(k) pathway.

Dielectric Properties Determination of a Stratified Medium [PDF]

open access: yesRadioengineering, 2015
The method of detection of variation in dielectric properties of a material covered with another material, which requires nondestructive measurement, has numerous applications and the accurate measurement system is desirable.
