Analyzing Electronic Excitations and Exciton Binding Energies in Y6 Films
The Y6 molecule is used for increasing the efficiency of organic solar cells. The exciton binding energy is calculated for ensembles of Y6 molecules that are representative of the typically used films. The calculations show that the excitons typically spread out over many molecules.

Scaling of excitons in carbon nanotubes
Light emission from carbon nanotubes is expected to be dominated by excitonic recombination. Here we calculate the properties of excitons in nanotubes embedded in a dielectric, for a wide range of tube radii and dielectric environments.

The layer‐by‐layer (LbL) assembly of coordination solids, enabled by the surface‐mounted metal‐organic framework (SURMOF) platform, is on the cusp of generating the organic counterpart of the epitaxy of inorganics. The programmable and sequential SURMOF protocol, optimized by machine learning (ML), is suited for accessing high‐quality thin films of ...

Biofabrication aims at providing innovative technologies and tools for the fabrication of tissue‐like constructs for tissue engineering and regenerative medicine applications. By integrating multiple biofabrication technologies, such as 3D (bio) printing with fiber fabrication methods, it would be more realistic to reconstruct native tissue's ...

Dielectric properties of semicrystalline polychlorotrifluoroethylene
The dielectric properties of polychlorotrifluoroethylene (T(m) = 224 °C, T(g) = 52 °C) have been measured at temperatures between −50 and +250 °C, and at frequencies between 0.1 c/s and 8.6 kMc/s. Specimens of known crystallinities, ranging from χ = 0.80 to χ = 0.00 (pure liquid) were studied. Comprehensive tables of data are presented.
