The influence of the dielectric constant in dielectric resonator antennas
2016 International Conference on Communications (COMM), 2016This paper presents a comparison between dielectric resonator antennas with different dielectric constant parameter of the resonator. The antenna is fed with microstrip line. The dielectric resonators have cylindrical geometry. In HFSS software program, the simulations are up to compare the antennas' behavior as a function of different parameters, such

Optical dielectric resonator antenna
2012 9th International Conference on Communications (COMM), 2012In this paper we propose that a dielectric dot on the top of a ground plane could act as an antenna in optical frequency range. We investigate its electromagnetic properties numerically and observe that its behaviors are similar to dielectric resonator antenna in radio frequency.

Wideband THz Absorber: By Merging the Resonance of Dielectric Cavity and Graphite Disk Resonator
IEEE Sensors Journal, 2021A graphite/dielectric cavity resonator-based absorber is numerically analyzed and implemented with wideband absorption. A graphite disk resonator is inserted in the low permittivity dielectric THz cavity resonator for the generation of multiple modes ...

Optically resonant dielectric nanostructures
Science, 2016A clear approach to nanophotonics The resonant modes of plasmonic nanoparticle structures made of gold or silver endow them with an ability to manipulate light at the nanoscale. However, owing to the high light losses caused by metals at optical wavelengths, only a small fraction of plasmonics applications have been realized ...

Resonant Behavior of Dielectric Objects (Electrostatic Resonances)
Physical Review Letters, 2003Resonant behavior of dielectric objects occurs at certain frequencies for which the object permittivity is negative and the free-space wavelength is large in comparison with the object dimensions. Unique physical features of these resonances are studied and a novel technique for the calculation of resonance values of permittivity, and hence resonance ...
