Tunable dielectric resonators with dielectric tuning disks

IEEE Transactions on Microwave Theory and Techniques, 2000
Turnable dielectric resonators with dielectric tuning disks in cylindrical and rectangular enclosures are modeled by mode matching method. Tuning properties of TE/sub 01/ mode such as tuning ranges, spurious mode separation, unloaded quality factors, couplings, etc., are investigated for both rod- and ring-type dielectric resonators. Wide tuning ranges

Dielectric resonator filters

2001
This chapter is concerned with the theory of the design of filters using resonators which are constructed using low loss high permittivity ceramics. Initially the fundamentals of modes in dielectric rod waveguides are discussed. An example of a filter using these resonators is presented.

Bidirectional dielectric resonator antenna

2015 IEEE International Symposium on Antennas and Propagation & USNC/URSI National Radio Science Meeting, 2015
A bidirectional dielectric resonator antenna (DRA) is investigated. The rectangular DRA is used, which resonates in its TE 215 y mode. As a demonstration, it is designed to operate at 5.80 GHz for WLAN applications. Its reflection coefficient, radiation pattern, and antenna gain of the bidirectional DRA were simulated and measured.

Optical dielectric resonator antenna

2012 9th International Conference on Communications (COMM), 2012
In this paper we propose that a dielectric dot on the top of a ground plane could act as an antenna in optical frequency range. We investigate its electromagnetic properties numerically and observe that its behaviors are similar to dielectric resonator antenna in radio frequency.

Dielectric resonators and filters

IEEE Microwave Magazine, 2007
High-performance DRs and filters are widely used in wireless and satellite communication systems due to their superior characteristics, such as high unloaded Q, excellent temperature stability, and smaller size compared to their air-filled counterpart.

Modelling Dielectric Resonators

2016
There are many techniques available for characterising the complex permittivity of microwave dielectric ceramics as functions of temperature and frequency. For materials with modest dielectric loss (\(\tan \delta > 10^{-3}\)) broadband transmission line measurements can yield the complex permittivity with reasonable accuracy over a wide frequency range.

Dielectric resonator oscillator perturbed with lossless dielectrics

2009
The perturbation of the dielectric resonator coupled to a microstrip line has been utilized to measure the perturber electrical parameters by means of the resonant frequency shift in the presence of the perturber. Two identical dielectric resonator oscillators operating at 4.25GHz are designed. One of the oscillator is perturbed with a sample.
