Linearly and Circularly Polarized Filtering Dielectric Resonator Antennas

IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation, 2019
In this paper, linearly polarized (LP) and circularly polarized (CP) filtering dielectric resonator antennas (DRAs) are presented. They have conducting loops inside them.

Dielectric Resonators

Journal of Applied Physics, 1939
We show that suitably shaped objects made of a dielectric material can function as electrical resonators for high frequency oscillations. We develop the theory of such resonators very briefly and compute their resonant frequencies and losses in some very simple cases. The paper concludes with an observation on the behavior of dielectric wave guides.

A Compact Quasi-Isotropic Dielectric Resonator Antenna With Filtering Response

IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation, 2019
A compact quasi-isotropic dielectric resonator (DR) antenna (DRA) with filtering response is first investigated in this communication. The cylindrical DRA is fed by a microstrip-coupled slot, exciting in its ${\text {HEM}}_{11 \delta }$ mode which ...

Two-port dual-band circularly polarized dielectric resonator-based MIMO antenna with polarization diversity

, 2020
In this communication, dielectric resonator based two-port Multi Input Multi Output (MIMO) antenna is structured and examined. L-shaped microstrip line with a serial step impedance transformer is used to excite moon-shaped aperture, which in turn ...

Dielectric helical resonators

IEEE Transactions on Microwave Theory and Techniques, 2005
This paper discusses the possibility of constructing a resonant element from dielectric material shaped into a helix. The modeling conducted shows that the mode associated with ceramic quarter-wave resonators is present within a coiled dielectric helix, the properties of which are strongly dependent upon the pitch and the thickness of the coils.

Pattern-Diversity Cylindrical Dielectric Resonator Antenna Using Fundamental Modes of Different Mode Families

IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation, 2019
For the first time, a pattern-diversity cylindrical dielectric resonator (DR) antenna (DRA) is designed using the fundamental HEM $_{11\delta }$ and TM $_{01\delta }$ modes of the HEM and TM mode families, respectively. It makes use of the fact that at

3-D-Printed Wideband Multi-Ring Dielectric Resonator Antenna

IEEE Antennas and Wireless Propagation Letters, 2019
A three-dimensional (3-D)-printed wideband multi-ring dielectric resonator antenna (DRA) is investigated for the first time. It consists of four concentric dielectric rings with decreasing effective dielectric constants in the radial direction.

Nanoscale TiO_2 dielectric resonator absorbers

Optics Letters, 2016
We demonstrate a narrow-band plasmonic absorber based on a uniform array of nanoscale cylindrical dielectric resonators (DRs) on a metallic substrate at visible frequencies. Under a normally incident plane-wave excitation, the DRs resonate in their horizontal magnetic dipolar mode, which can be seen as localized plasmonic hot spots.

Design of a Circularly Polarized Dielectric Resonator Antenna With Wide Bandwidth and Low Axial Ratio Values

IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation, 2019
A circularly polarized (CP) dielectric resonator antenna (DRA) with wide bandwidth and low axial ratio (AR) values is presented in this communication. The antenna consists of a stacked DRA, and it is fed by a substrate integrated waveguide coupling slot ...

Cylindrical Dielectric Resonator Antenna Sensor for Non-Invasive Glucose Sensing Application

SPIN, 2019
A compact cylindrical dielectric resonator antenna is presented for non-invasive glucose sensing. The proposed antenna sensor consists of an Alumina ceramic dielectric resonator fed by a $50\ \mathbf{\Omega}$ microstrip line. For sensing the glucose, the
