Cylindrical dielectric resonator antenna array

open access: yesElectronics Letters, 1995
A 1/spl times/2 linear cylindrical resonator antenna array is studied experimentally. The DR antenna is excited by an aperture-coupled source and is operated at the fundamental broadside TM/sub 110/ mode. The input impedance, the radiation pattern, the antenna gain, and the mutual coupling of the array are studied.

Broadband stacked dielectric resonator antennas

open access: yesElectronics Letters, 1989
The input impedance of stacked cylindrical dielectric resonator antennas is investigated experimentally. The dielectric resonators are made of different materials. The bandwidth of 25% has been observed for a standing wave ratio better than 2.

Electro‐Active Polymer Actuated Microfiltration Membranes: Design, Performance, and Particle Dynamics

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The concept of foulant particle manipulation and detachment from active microfiltration membranes via voltage‐driven vibrations is introduced. Actuator components are initially integrated onto the filtration membranes using an airbrush spray printing technique.

Adjustable frequency dielectric resonator antenna

open access: yesElectronics Letters, 1996
An easy method of tuning the resonant frequency of cylindrical and ring dielectric resonator (DR) antennas using different diameters of conducting plates is presented. This technique can tune a DR antenna to operate at the design frequency without changing antenna performance. The maximum frequency tuning range can reach up to 300-500 MHz.

Melt Grafting of Geometry‐Tailored Voltage Stabilizers for High‐Performance Polypropylene Insulation

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A scalable one‐step melt grafting strategy is developed to enhance the dielectric properties of isotactic polypropylene by covalently incorporating thermally stable aromatic voltage stabilizers. This solvent‐free approach improves volume resistivity and DC breakdown strength through deep trap formation and charge localization, offering a sustainable ...

Cylindrical Dielectric Resonator Antennas with Harmonic Control as an Active Antenna Radiator

open access: yesInternational Journal of Antennas and Propagation, 2009
A cylindrical dielectric resonator antenna is proposed as a radiator for an active integrated antenna. Harmonic tuning, which is the key step in designing active antenna radiators, is achieved via a combination of shape factor control over the resonator ...
