Temperature stable Sm(Nb1−xVx)O4 (0.0 ≤ x ≤ 0.9) microwave dielectric ceramics with ultra-low dielectric loss for dielectric resonator antenna applications

Journal of Materials Chemistry C, 2021
A temperature-stable Sm(Nb0.8V0.2)O4 (SNV-0.2) microwave dielectric ceramic with ultra-low dielectric loss was fabricated, and an RDRA was designed for 5G mm-wave application for the first time, which is a good candidate for 5G and future millimeter-wave

Supershaped dielectric resonator antennas

2009 IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society International Symposium, 2009
A family of dielectric resonator antennas, the supershaped DRAs, has been introduced in this communication. These DRAs exhibit wideband matching characteristics and broadside radiation. The cross section of the supershaped DRAs was described by means of a simple analytical expression depending on a set of six real parameters.

A Novel Single-Feed Filtering Dielectric Resonator Antenna Using Slotline Stepped-Impedance Resonator

IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems - II - Express Briefs, 2021
A novel single-feed filtering dielectric resonator antenna (FDRA) with quasi-elliptic bandpass response is proposed in this brief. The proposed FDRA consists of a shunted slotline stepped-impedance resonator (SSIR), a rectangular dielectric resonator ...

Wideband dielectric resonator antenna

Microwave and Optical Technology Letters, 2005
AbstractThis paper presents a new wideband dielectric resonator (DR) antenna. To enhance the bandwidth, two layers of stacked resonators having the same rotational axis of symmetry are used. At the bottom layer, a smaller cylindrical DR is placed concentrically inside a large annular‐ring DR, whereas at the top layer, there is only one cylindrical DR ...

Quad-Band Quad-Sense Circularly Polarized Dielectric Resonator Antenna for GPS/CNSS/WLAN/WiMAX Applications

IEEE Antennas and Wireless Propagation Letters, 2020
This letter presents the design and study of a novel aperture coupled cylindrical dielectric resonator antenna (cDRA). Unique aspects of the proposed antenna design are that proposed aperture can excite six different hybrid radiating modes (HEM11δ ...

Dielectric Resonator Antenna Loaded with Monopole Antenna

2013 Third International Conference on Advanced Computing and Communication Technologies (ACCT), 2013
A DRA loaded with monopole antenna is proposed in the present work. The metal cap is used to cover the monopole antenna top as well as top of DRA. These designing increase the operative frequency of the antenna. The antenna system resonates at 4.4 GHz. The simulation results of return loss, VSWR, gain and radiation pattern are presented.

Resonant frequency of rectangular dielectric resonator antenna

2017 8th Annual Industrial Automation and Electromechanical Engineering Conference (IEMECON), 2017
In this paper, Rectangular Dielectric Resonator Antenna (RDRA) is investigated theoretically. To investigate the RDRA, the antenna is assumed as a cavity. The wave equation is solved inside the cavity antenna. Simple transcendental equation is given here to predict the resonant frequency of RDRA. One antenna prototype is simulated to verify our theory.
