Determination of resonant frequency of stacked cylindrical dielectric resonator antenna(DRA) for TM modes

2016 16th Mediterranean Microwave Symposium (MMS), 2016
Dielectric Resonators are being used as antennas in wireless communication systems presently due to advantages over microstrip like low loss particularly at higher frequencies. Also with ever increasing demand for bandwidth, wide banding has become one of the prime goals of antenna design. DRA wide banding can be done using stacking.

From optimization to dielectric resonator antenna (DRA) application of YIG: Synthesis approach

Journal of Alloys and Compounds, 2015
Abstract The efficacy of yttrium iron garnet (YIG) as magneto-dielectric ceramic, depends heavily on its purity. The presence of undesirable phase(s) such as yttrium iron perovskite (YIP) has led to performance deterioration, which is critical especially in wireless communication devices. This work presents the use of an ANOVA-statistical approach to

Breast Cancer Detection with a Ring-Shaped DRA (Dielectric Resonator Antenna)

2019
This paper presents simulation results of tumor detection by placing a phantom parallel to square ring-shaped DRA. This is based on the difference between malignant and normal breast tissues electrical properties. For this purpose, a square ring-shaped DRA with plus DGS in ground is designed. This has volumetric dimensions of 60 × 60 × 5.67 mm3.

Study on the Effect of Dielectric Structure to the Cylindrical Dielectric Resonator Antenna (DRA)

2014
This paper presents the effect of variation of diameter and height of DR to the resonant frequency and radiation pattern of DRA. Analysis was carried out on the DR with diameter of 10.66 mm and height of 4.4 mm. The simulated and measured resonant frequencies were 3.67 and 3.77 GHz, respectively. The E-plane radiation pattern of CDRA was bi-directional

Analytical Computation of Resonant Frequency of Rectangular Dielectric Resonator Antenna By Including Effective Dimensions of DRA

Wireless Personal Communications, 2018
In this paper, a new concept of effective dimensions of rectangular dielectric resonator antenna (DRA) is introduced to calculate the resonant frequency of rectangular DRA accurately. Mathematical modeling for computation of resonant frequency is developed using transcendental equation and appropriate boundary conditions of rectangular dielectric ...

Investigations on hexagonal shape dielectric resonator antenna (DRA) and array with wide impedance bandwidth

2008 IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society International Symposium, 2008
The paper presents the investigation results on the hexagonal shape DRA and its 3-element array for beamforming purposes, both on the finite ground planes. This paper is written in the memory of Preet R. S. Sodhi who was the M. Sc. student at SDSU and was carrying out his thesis research on the DRA antennas under the guidance of Dr. Sharma. Mr.

A wideband aperture-coupled pentagon shape dielectric resonator antenna (DRA) for wireless communication applications

2011 IEEE International Symposium on Antennas and Propagation (APSURSI), 2011
A wideband aperture-coupled pentagon shape dielectric resonator antenna (DRA) is presented for wireless communication applications. The antenna shows wideband impedance matching of 42% from 2.55 GHz to 3.9GHz with respect to S 11 = −10dB and offers acceptable directional radiation patterns.

Enhancement of YIG bandwidth efficiency through Ce-doping for dielectric resonator antenna (DRA) applications

Journal of Materials Science: Materials in Electronics, 2014
YIG is useful for dielectric resonator antenna (DRA) but its narrow size of frequency bandwidth (0.38–0.44 GHz), negatively influenced the DRA performance. An investigation on Ce doped YIG through the conventional solid-state reaction based on the Y3−xCexFe5O12 (Cex; x = 0–1.5) system was carried out.
