Interfacial Modulation for High‐Efficiency Large‐Area Organic Photovoltaics and Perovskite‐Organic Tandem Solar Modules

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Self‐assembled monolayers (SAMs) are promising hole‐transporting materials for organic photovoltaics (OPVs), but suffer from self‐aggregation and poor large‐area uniformity. We find that interfacial modification using nicotinic hydrazide can eliminate the residual SAM aggregates by forming energetically favorable complexes, yielding uniform SAM.

Elucidating the Role of Surface Ligands on the Oxidative Etching of Au Bipyramids During Photothermia Using Liquid Cell Transmission Electron Microscopy

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Gold bipyramids can act as efficient plasmonic nanoheaters, but they often reshape during laser heating. This study shows that oxygen nanobubbles drive oxidative etching and that surface ligands control stability. CTAB‐ and citrate‐coated particles blunt and lose optical performance, whereas polystyrene sulfonate preserves shape and heating by ...

Quantum Emitters near Layered Plasmonic Nanostructures: Decay Rate Contributions

open access: yes, 2016
We introduce a numerical framework for calculating decay rate contributions when excited two-level quantum emitters are located near layered plasmonic nanostructures, particularly emphasizing the case of plasmonic nanostructures atop metal substrates ...

Multi‐Scale Interface Engineering of MXenes for Multifunctional Sensory Systems

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
MXenes, as two‐dimensional transition metal carbides and nitrides, demonstrate remarkable capabilities for multifunctional sensing applications. This review systematically examines multi‐scale interface engineering approaches that enhance sensing performance, enable diverse detection functionalities, and improve system‐level compatibility in MXene ...

Hierarchical Cellulose/MXene Aerogel Films with Coral‐Like Polyaniline Skin for Absorption‐Led Broadband EMI Shielding

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A regenerated cellulose/MXene aerogel film is engineered with a surface‐confined, coral‐like polyaniline skin to intensify interfacial polarization while a porous, percolated conductive core is retained. By molten salt hydrate processing and interfacially confined oxidative polymerization, PANI growth is localized at the outer surface and internal ...

Experimental and numerical investigation of the microwave dielectric properties of the MgTiO3 ceramic matrix added with CaCu3Ti4O12

open access: yesJournal of Microwaves, Optoelectronics and Electromagnetic Applications
This paper describes an experimental and numerical investigation of the dielectric resonators based on the MgTiO3 ceramic matrix, which relates to their dielectric properties in microwave. The resonators are compounds of the MgTiO3 added with 4, 6, 8, 10
