Organic electrochemical transistors based on a Near‐Infrared (NIR)‐responsive polymer p(C4DPP‐T) and iodide electrolyte exhibit optically programmable negative differential transconductance. NIR illumination triggers an iodine‐mediated redox process, enabling a transition from binary to ternary conductance states within a single‐layer device.

It is elucidated that phase engineering of cobalt modulates the interfacial potential gradients of cobalt–carbon electrocatalysts, enhancing the intrinsic electrocatalytic performance. Modulating the dominant crystalline phase of cobalt from a hexagonal close‐packed to a face‐centered cubic enriches the electron density of carbon shells, thereby ...

Counterion Dependent Side‐Chain Relaxation Stiffens a Chemically Doped Thienothiophene Copolymer
Oxidation of a thienothiophene copolymer, p(g3TT‐T2), via different doping strategies and dopant molecules resulted in materials with similar oxidation levels and a high electrical conductivity of ≈100 S cm−1. However, mechanical properties varied significantly, with sub‐glass transition temperatures and elastic moduli spanning from –44°C to –3°C and ...

Dielectric relaxation time spectroscopy
IEEE Transactions on Biomedical Engineering, 2000A new mathematical method is developed to recover the permittivity relaxation spectrum of living tissue from measurements of the real and imaginary parts of the impedance. Aiming to derive information about electrical properties of living tissue without the prior selection of any impedance model, the procedure calculates the relaxation time ...

Broadband local dielectric spectroscopy
Applied Physics Letters, 2016A route to extend the measurement bandwidth of local dielectric spectroscopy up to the MHz range has been devised. The method is based on a slow amplitude modulation at a frequency Ω of the excitation field oscillating at a frequency ω and the coherent detection of the modulated average electric force or force gradient at Ω.

Hematocrit measurement by dielectric spectroscopy
Proceedings of the Second Joint 24th Annual Conference and the Annual Fall Meeting of the Biomedical Engineering Society] [Engineering in Medicine and Biology, 2002Based on permittivity changes, a new method to measure hematocrit (HCT) in extracorporeal blood systems is presented. Human blood samples were tested at different HCT levels pairing the values of permittivity change, obtained by means of a commercial impedance analyzer, with traditional centrifugation measurements.

Agricultural Applications of Dielectric Spectroscopy
Journal of Microwave Power and Electromagnetic Energy, 2003A brief account of interest in dielectric properties of agricultural materials is presented, and some examples of dielectric spectroscopy applied to agricultural problems are discussed. Included are wide frequency range (250 Hz to 12 GHz) permittivity, or dielectric properties, measurements on adult rice weevils and hard red winter wheat, for the ...

Wide range dielectric spectroscopy on perovskite dielectrics
Materials Science and Engineering: B, 2009Abstract Wide band dielectric spectra from the kilohertz to terahertz range were discussed for SrTiO3 (ST) and BaTiO3-based ceramics. The dielectric permittivity of BaTiO3 (BT) is determined by the ionic polarization of the Slater mode as well as the dipole polarization of domain-wall vibrations in micro-sized domains.

Dielectric spectroscopy of nanocomposites
2018 International Conference on Diagnostics in Electrical Engineering (Diagnostika), 2018The influence of 1 wt. % nanoparticles (ZnO, TiO 2 , SiO 2 ) as fillers in an epoxy resin, known as nanocomposites, on the complex permittivity have been measured. The real and imaginary parts of the complex permittivity and dissipation factor within the frequency ranges from 1 mHz to 1 MHz were measured by a capacitance method.
