Exploring Dipolar Dynamics and Ionic Transport in Metal‐Organic Frameworks: Experimental and Theoretical Insights

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
In this study, the interplay of dipolar dynamics and ionic charge transport in MOF compounds is investigated. Synthesizing the novel structure CFA‐25 with integrated freely rotating dipolar groups, local and macroscopic effects, including interactions with Cs cations are explored.

NanoMOF‐Based Multilevel Anti‐Counterfeiting by a Combination of Visible and Invisible Photoluminescence and Conductivity

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study presents novel anti‐counterfeiting tags with multilevel security features that utilize additional disguise features. They combine luminescent nanosized Ln‐MOFs with conductive polymers to multifunctional mixed‐matrix membranes and powder composites. The materials exhibit visible/NIR emission and matrix‐based conductivity even as black bodies.

Enhancing Low‐Temperature Performance of Sodium‐Ion Batteries via Anion‐Solvent Interactions

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
DOL is introduced into electrolytes as a co‐solvent, increasing slat solubility, ion conductivity, and the de‐solvent process, and forming an anion‐rich solvent shell due to its high interaction with anion. With the above virtues, the batteries using this electrolyte exhibit excellent cycling stability at low temperatures. Abstract Sodium‐ion batteries

Phase structure, bond traits, and intrinsic dielectric response of NiTa2O6–TiO2 microwave dielectric ceramics investigated by bond theory and vibrational spectroscopy

open access: yesJournal of Materials Research and Technology, 2023
The present work reports the synthesis and structure-property of a tri-rutile Ni0.5Ti0.5TaO4 microwave dielectric ceramic. It is found that the Ni0.5Ti0.5TaO4 ceramic belongs to the solid solution of tetragonal tri-rutile NiTa2O6.

Tuning orbital-selective correlation effects in superconducting Rb$_{0.75}$Fe$_{1.6}$Se$_{2-z}$S$_z$

open access: yes, 2016
We report on terahertz time-domain spectroscopy on superconducting and metallic iron chalcogenides Rb$_{0.75}$Fe$_{1.6}$Se$_{2-z}$S$_z$. The superconducting transition is reduced from $T_c=$ 32 K ($z=0$) to 22 K ($z=1.0$), and finally suppressed ($z=1.4$)

A "water shell" model for the dielectric properties of hydrated silica-filled epoxy nano-composites [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
The electrical properties of epoxy resin have been studied as a function of hydration. The epoxy was studied in an un-filled state, filled with 40 µm SiO2 particles, and filled with 50 nm SiO2 particles.

All‐in‐One Analog AI Hardware: On‐Chip Training and Inference with Conductive‐Metal‐Oxide/HfOx ReRAM Devices

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
An all‐in‐one analog AI accelerator is presented, enabling on‐chip training, weight retention, and long‐term inference acceleration. It leverages a BEOL‐integrated CMO/HfOx ReRAM array with low‐voltage operation (<1.5 V), multi‐bit capability over 32 states, low programming noise (10 nS), and near‐ideal weight transfer.
