Methyl transesterification of soybean oil using heterogeneous catalysts for biodiesel production. Abstract The growing global demand for renewable fuels has driven the search for efficient catalysts in biodiesel production. This study presents the synthesis and characterization of x_MoO3/Z‐22 and x_MoO3/MMP heterogeneous catalysts, and evaluates the ...

Advancement in Diesel Combustion System Design to Improve the Smoke-BSFC Tradeoff
Modern diesel engines must simultaneously provide ultra-low emissions and world-class fuel economy. To meet these requirements, many new combustion strategies require that combustion occur in an oxygen-limited and/or very high EGR environment, both of ...

Life Cycle Assessment of Sweet Sorghum as Feedstock for Second-generation Biofuel Production [PDF]
There exist few life cycle assessments (LCAs) in the literature that focus on the second-generation biofuel production from sweet sorghum, a non-food-source feedstock that offers several advantages in terms of farming requirements compared to corn or ...

Production of middle distillates through olefin oligomerization using ZSM‐5 as a catalyst
Abstract The global transportation sector relies heavily on gasoline (C5–C12) and diesel (C11–C24), which together account for approximately 60% of its energy needs. Driven by rapid industrialization and urbanization, diesel consumption is outpacing gasoline, with projections estimating global demand by 2035 at 27 million barrels per day for gasoline ...

Combustion behaviour and emission trends of diesel–jp8 blends in a single-cylinder diesel engine
This study investigates the effects of blending JP8 fuel with conventional diesel on engine performance, combustion characteristics, and exhaust emissions in a single-cylinder, four-stroke, direct-injection diesel engine. Tests were conducted at 1800 rpm

Experimental Investigation of Burning Liquids in Reduced Oxygen
ABSTRACT The effects of oxygen concentration on combustion of gases have been investigated on fundamental levels in several studies. However, the same type of fundamental studies has not been made for liquid or solid fuels due to complex relationships between flame structure and changing mass loss rates (MLR).

Biodiesel Production From Canola Oil by Titanium Dioxide‐Photocatalysed Transesterification
Photocatalytic transesterification of canola oil over TiO2 under UVA irradiation enables biodiesel production under mild conditions. Yields up to 73% FAME and 38% FAEE were achieved, with negative Gibbs free energy (ΔG < 0) confirming thermodynamic favourability.
