Conventional engine technology. Volume 3: Comparisons and future potential [PDF]
The status of five conventional automobile engine technologies was assessed and the future potential for increasing fuel economy and reducing exhaust emission was discussed, using the 1980 EPA California emisions standards as a comparative basis. By 1986,

Fines deposition during hydrotreating: Effects of catalyst size and bed arrangement
Abstract Fines deposition presents a significant problem during the hydrotreating of bitumen‐derived gas oils. The accumulation of fines leads to reactor clogging and consequently, pressure drop buildup. At critical levels, the hydrotreating reactor must be prematurely shutdown, resulting in substantial economic losses for refineries.

Increasing Cetane Number of the Diesel Fuel by Fuel Additives
Current study uses DieselFX (DFX) additive to increase the cetane number of the diesel fuel used in compression-ignition (CI) engines, re-duce carbon monoxide (CO) and hydrocarbon (HC) emissions, and im-prove engine performance. In this respect, the effects of the additive used in diesel engines were analyzed.
