The Role of Open Cell Foams Supports on the Kinetics of PdO/Co3O4 for the Wet and Dry Lean Methane Combustion

open access: yesChemCatChem, Volume 18, Issue 5, 13 March 2026.
Kinetic analysis performed on FeCrAl, SiC and alumina open‐cell foams, washcoated with PdO/Co3O4 for the lean CH4 combustion in wet & dry environments. All structures demonstrated comparable catalytic activity and excellent H2O stability over time. The activation energies were 117 and 129 kJ mol−1 in dry & wet conditions.

Effect of WO3 and Fe2O3 Additives on H2‐SCR Over Pt/SiO2─Al2O3 Catalysts: An Operando DRIFTS Investigation

open access: yesChemCatChem, Volume 18, Issue 6, 27 March 2026.
WO3 addition on Pt/SiO2─Al2O3 promotes (i) H2 activation at low temperature with higher N2 selectivity and (ii) NH3‐SCR, leading to the suppression of ammonia emissions. Fe2O3 presents reverse effects. N2O emission at low T is attributed to the formation and decomposition of the NO dimer, while N2O emissions at higher temperatures are mainly associated

Simulation and Experimental Investigation of Low‐Speed Centrifugal Pump Coupled With Vertical Ultra‐Low‐Head Turbine for Small‐Scale Irrigation

open access: yesEngineering Reports, Volume 8, Issue 3, March 2026.
From the reviews, a new concept of a low‐speed centrifugal pump (LSCP) driven by a vertical ultra‐low‐head hydro turbine (VULHT) was designed and tested on simulation and physical setup. It was performed with a 1.8 m delivery head, concluding as inefficient. For ultra‐low‐head conditions, different than centrifugal action is recommended.

Record‐Wise Disaggregated Seismic Fragilities for Interconnected Systems

open access: yesEarthquake Engineering &Structural Dynamics, Volume 55, Issue 3, Page 743-758, March 2026.
ABSTRACT Seismic risk assessment studies typically rely on fragility functions/curves to characterize the susceptibility of an asset or a class of assets to damage. These curves are essentially a summarization of responses evaluated on the basis of ground motions with record characteristics and intensities that may or may not be tied to a specific site
