Integrated Single‐Cell and Spatial Analysis Reveals a Metabolic‐Immune Axis Driving Aortic Dissection

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Single‐cell and spatial profiling of 110 human thoracic aortic samples reveals a stromal–immune circuit driving aortic dissection. An elastin‐rich fibroblast subset is depleted with age and markedly reduced in disease, weakening aortic wall integrity.

[Dietary fiber intake in women with constipation].

open access: yesArquivos de gastroenterologia, 1993
The objective of this study was to investigate the food pattern of women with constipation. It was carried out a 24 h recall and a food frequency survey in 31 constipated women and compared the results with a control of 31 women without constipation. Their mean daily crude fiber intake were no statistical different (2.33 +/- 1.4 vs 2.17 +/- 0.9 g/day),

Scalable Wheat Bran‐Algae Composites for Edible Electronics with Spray‐Coated Food‐Grade Conductive Inks

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
A fully edible wheat bran–algae substrate is fabricated through scalable mould‐compression and spray‐coating, enabling robust, food‐grade platforms for sustainable electronics. A chitosan barrier improves water resistance and ink compatibility, while activated‐carbon conductive films form uniform electrodes with Ohmic behaviour.

The Cost of a Nutritious Diet in Cafeterias: Evidence From US Military Dining Facilities

open access: yesApplied Economic Perspectives and Policy, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Providing nutritious meals in institutional settings with financial constraints, such as military dining facilities, is challenging. The US Department of War (DoW) and US Department of Agriculture (USDA) collaborated to modernize the Basic Daily Food Allowance (BDFA) using an optimization model that incorporates service members' consumption ...

Random changes in the heifer rumen in bacterial community structure,physico-chemical and fermentation parameters, and in vitro fiber degradation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
The variability over time of several main ruminal characteristics was studied in heifers over 15 consecutive weeks. Three heifers were assigned to a low-fiber diet (27% NDF) and three to a high-fiber diet (44% NDF).

Study on Propriety of Estimation of Dietary Fiber Intake by Japanese Standard Tables of Dietary Fiber.

open access: yesThe Japanese Journal of Nutrition and Dietetics, 1996

Excipient Emulsion–Based Delivery Systems for Enhancing Carotenoid Bioavailability: Advances in Formulation and Gastrointestinal Fate

open access: yesAgriFood: Journal of Agricultural Products for Food, EarlyView.
Excipient emulsion systems improve carotenoid solubilization, protect against degradation, and enhance gastrointestinal absorption through optimized formulation and digestion behavior. ABSTRACT Carotenoids are bioactive compounds that contribute to human health through antioxidant, provitamin A, and disease‐preventive effects.
