Reversible watermarking using prediction and Difference Expansion

2010 2nd European Workshop on Visual Information Processing (EUVIP), 2010
Reversible data hiding deals with the insertion of auxiliary information into a host data without causing any permanent degradation to the original signal. In this paper a novel reversible data hiding scheme, based on the classical Difference Expansion insertion algorithm, is presented.

On the equivalence of different Landau expansions

Physica A: Statistical Mechanics and its Applications, 1989
Abstract The critical behavior of magnetic model systems in the mean-field approximation may be obtained from a standard Landau expansion, in terms of the order parameter m , of the functional ψ ( T , H ; m ) = − Hm + f ( T , m ), where f is the Helmholtz free energy.

Expansion Model Test of Expansive Soil in Different Stress State

Soil Mechanics and Foundation Engineering, 2015
The hydroscopic expansion of expansive soil always leads to engineering safety problems. With mid-expansive soil at Nanyang, the relationship among the expansion ratio caused by total wetting of expansive soil, eventual and initial ratio of water content, and overlying loads was studied.

Ideological Differences in the Expanse of Empathy

2016
The American political landscape of the 21st century has largely been characterized by culture wars between liberals and conservatives. On policy issues as diverse as economic regulation, defense spending, abortion, marriage equality, and health care, ideological differences have become increasingly pronounced, as reflected in political legislation ...

Difference Expansion-Based Data Hiding Method by Changing Expansion Media

2016
In this era, protecting secret data has played an important role since such data may be transmitted over public networks or stored in public storages. One possible method to protect the data is by implementing steganography/data hiding algorithms, such as Difference Expansion (DE).

ASYMPTOTIC EXPANSION FOR DIFFERENCE EQUATIONS WITH INFINITE DELAY

Asian-European Journal of Mathematics, 2009
Using summable dichotomies and Schauder's fixed point theorem, we obtain existence, asymptotic behavior and compactness properties, of convergent solutions for difference equations with infinite delay. Applications on Volterra difference equations with infinite delay are shown.

An extended difference expansion algorithm for reversible watermarking

Image and Vision Computing, 2008
In this paper, a very high-capacity reversible watermarking algorithm is proposed. The algorithm extends Tian's method by histogram shifting to form a new type of pixel pair, which is called the shiftable pixel pair. The shiftable pixel pairs can increase the embedding capacity of a digital image while keeping the distortion low.

A Revisit of Query Expansion with Different Semantic Levels

2009
Query expansion has received extensive attention in information retrieval community. Although semantic based query expansion appears to be promising in improving retrieval performance, previous research has shown that it cannot consistently improve retrieval performance.

Reversible and Blind Database Watermarking Using Difference Expansion

International Journal of Digital Crime and Forensics, 2008
There has been significant research in the field of database watermarking recently. However, there has not been sufficient attention given to the requirement of providing reversibility (the ability to revert back to original relation from watermarked relation) and blindness (not needing the original relation for detection purpose) at the same time ...
