The difference quotient operator

Publicationes Mathematicae Debrecen, 1994
We discuss the spectral properties of a linear operator defined on a Hilbert space. Using the results of [\textit{S. Axler}, \textit{J. Conway} and \textit{G. McDonald}, Can. J. Math. 34, 466-483 (1982; Zbl 0488.47011)], we determine the essential spectrum of our operator.

Operator-Difference Scheme with a Factorized Operator

2015
In the study of difference schemes for time-dependent problems of mathematical physics, the general theory of stability (well-posedness) for operator-difference schemes is in common use. At the present time, the exact (matching necessary and sufficient) conditions for stability are obtained for a wide class of two- and three-level difference schemes ...

Sequences and Difference Operators

1996
Our first experience with operators comes from infinitesimal calculus. In that setting, we are familiar with the differentiation and integration operators as they are applied to functions. As we shall see shortly, the operators of the difference calculus are applied not to functions, but to sequences of numbers.

Post-operative Complications after Different Turbinates Operations (Comparative Study)

Indian Journal of Otolaryngology and Head & Neck Surgery
Since Inferior turbinate hypertrophy is on top list of the most common causes of nasal blockage, this study is trial for recording the exact incidence for the postoperative complications of two different procedures of turbinate reduction, thus comparing endoscopic submucosal diathermy and radiofrequency ablation.retrospective randomized comparative ...

Additive Operator-Difference Schemes

2013
Applied mathematical modeling is concerned with solving unsteady problems. Splitting schemes are attributed to the transition from a complex problem to a chain of simpler problems. This book shows how to construct additive difference schemes (splitting schemes) to solve approximately unsteady multi-dimensional problems for PDEs.
