Differential estimation in dynamic RFID systems

2013 Proceedings IEEE INFOCOM, 2013
Efficient estimation of tag population in RFID systems has many important applications. In this paper, we present a new problem called differential cardinality estimation, which tracks the population changes in a dynamic RFID system where tags are frequently moved in and out.

Differential evolution for dynamic optimization of differential-algebraic systems

Proceedings of 1997 IEEE International Conference on Evolutionary Computation (ICEC '97), 2002
An efficient method is introduced for solving optimal control and optimal parameter selection problems of nonlinear differential-algebraic systems involving general constraints. These infinite-dimensional problems are first converted into the uncaused optimal parameter selection problems.

On the Dynamics of Nonautonomous General Dynamical Systems and Differential Inclusions

Set-Valued Analysis, 2007
This paper deals with the dynamical behavior of nonautonomous general dynamical systems and its applications to nonautonomous differential inclusions with upper semicontinuous right-hand side. The authors establish some stability results for pullback attractors (uniform Lyapunov stability and uniform robustness), the so-called Barbashin's compactness ...

Differentiation of the Limit Mapping in a Dynamical System

Journal of the London Mathematical Society, 1983
On considere l'iteration d'une application f definie sur un sous-ensemble d'une variete lisse M quand l'ensemble des points fixes de f forme une sous-variete de ...

Ordinary Differential Equations: Dynamical Systems

2007
Ordinary differential equations (ode) are differential equations for functions which depend on one independent variable only. These ‘odes’ are simpler than partial differential equations which contain more than one independent variable. In almost all models or simulations independent variables are either time and/or space.

Delay differential systems for tick population dynamics

Journal of Mathematical Biology, 2014
Ticks play a critical role as vectors in the transmission and spread of Lyme disease, an emerging infectious disease which can cause severe illness in humans or animals. To understand the transmission dynamics of Lyme disease and other tick-borne diseases, it is necessary to investigate the population dynamics of ticks.
