Algebraic entropy for semi-discrete equations

open access: yes, 2012
We extend the definition of algebraic entropy to semi-discrete (difference-differential) equations. Calculating the entropy for a number of integrable and non integrable systems, we show that its vanishing is a characteristic feature of integrability for

Stress‐Normalized Sensitivity as a Comparative Benchmark for Intrinsically Piezoresistive Nanocomposite Materials in Wearable Electronics

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
A stress‐normalised sensitivity metric (S = G/Y) is introduced as a materials‐level benchmark for intrinsically piezoresistive nanocomposites. By decoupling electromechanical response (G) from stiffness (Y), the framework enables direct comparison across diverse systems and clarifies design trade‐offs for wearable sensors.

On the Use of Composite Functions in the Simple Equations Method to Obtain Exact Solutions of Nonlinear Differential Equations

open access: yesComputation, 2021
We discuss the Simple Equations Method (SEsM) for obtaining exact solutions of a class of nonlinear differential equations containing polynomial nonlinearities.

Continuum Mechanics Modeling of Flexible Spring Joints in Surgical Robots

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
A new mechanical model of a tendon‐actuated helical extension spring joint in surgical robots is built using Cosserat rod theory. The model can implicitly handle the unknown contacts between adjacent coils and numerically predict spring shapes from straight to significantly bent under actuation forces.

An algebraic Birkhoff decomposition for the continuous renormalization group

open access: yes, 2004
This paper aims at presenting the first steps towards a formulation of the Exact Renormalization Group Equation in the Hopf algebra setting of Connes and Kreimer.

A State‐Adaptive Koopman Control Framework for Real‐Time Deformable Tool Manipulation in Robotic Environmental Swabbing

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
This work presents a state‐adaptive Koopman linear quadratic regulator framework for real‐time manipulation of a deformable swab tool in robotic environmental sampling. By combining Koopman linearization, tactile sensing, and centroid‐based force regulation, the system maintains stable contact forces and high coverage across flat and inclined surfaces.

A Novel Representation of the Exact Solution for Differential Algebraic Equations System Using Residual Power-Series Method

open access: yes, 2015
We implement a relatively new analytic iterative technique to get approximate solutions of differential algebraic equations system based on generalized Taylor series formula.

Spatial‐Wavelength Multiplexing Error‐Controlled Photonic Analog Computing System

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A novel photonic integrated circuit prototype implementing the concept of general‐purpose analog computing and demonstrate its capability in radio frequency applications. The chip features a multichannel architecture and performs fully optical analog computation with frequency‐domain parallel processing. An FPGA‐based error‐correction algorithm aims to

A Perspective on Interactive Theorem Provers in Physics

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Into an interactive theorem provers (ITPs), one can write mathematical definitions, theorems and proofs, and the correctness of those results is automatically checked. This perspective goes over the best usage of ITPs within physics and motivates the open‐source community run project PhysLean, the aim of which is to be a library for digitalized physics
