Continuous‐wave differential absorption lidar
Laser & Photonics Reviews, 2015AbstractThis work proves the feasibility of a novel concept of differential absorption lidar based on the Scheimpflug principle. The range‐resolved atmospheric backscattering signal of a laser beam is retrieved by employing a tilted linear sensor with a Newtonian telescope, satisfying the Scheimpflug condition.

Coherent differential absorption lidar measurements of CO_2
Applied Optics, 2004A differential absorption lidar has been built to measure CO2 concentration in the atmosphere. The transmitter is a pulsed single-frequency Ho:Tm:YLF laser at a 2.05-microm wavelength. A coherent heterodyne receiver was used to achieve sensitive detection, with the additional capability for wind profiling by a Doppler technique.

Ozone differential absorption lidar algorithm intercomparison
Applied Optics, 1999An intercomparison of ozone differential absorption lidar algorithms was performed in 1996 within the framework of the Network for the Detection of Stratospheric Changes (NDSC) lidar working group. The objective of this research was mainly to test the differentiating techniques used by the various lidar teams involved in the NDSC for the calculation of

Differential absorption lidar sensing of ozone
Proceedings of the IEEE, 1989The differential absorption lidar (DIAL) technique for deriving O/sub 3/ profiles from lidar measurements is discussed. The US National Aeronautics and Space Administration's airborne DIAL system is described, and examples of a broad range of O/sub 3/ and aerosol measurements are presented from a number of field experiments.
